Psalm 124:8

Hello all! I hope you're having a great day today. :) Word Art Wednesday has a new scripture for us today! Please hop over and save the free scripture and join in our challenge with your encouraging and uplifting projects! Today's scripture comes from Psalm 124:8. Our help is in our Lord! He who created everything above us, below us, and us! :) He knows us inside and out. He is who we should turn to when we need help with anything in life. If we are faced with an opportunity to move, a co-worker that needs a lesson in manners, a teenage daughter who thinks she's an adult but still needs guidance and loving direction (Lord, save us all), or a rocky road marriage. God is always there and waiting for us to turn to Him for help. When we try to fix things on our own, we grow weary and most of the time end up making the situation worse. I would encourage you all to turn to the Lord for help first. Take all your worries and cares to Him and give them to Him. Don't carry it all on your own shoulders. God's shoulders are there to carry our heavy burdens and help us through.       Matthew 11:28-30
For my card I used another pretty flower from Fred She Said. I colored it with my copics and used my cricut to cut the circle shape. I made a scallop background with the sizzix doily die cut. I embossed the bottom design paper with my new swirly embossing folder. Then I added some pretty green ribbon from 3 Girl Jam and made a bow.
I also wanted to send a BIG Thank You to Karen and the fabulous DT at Word Art Wednesday for letting me design with them this month! I have been so blessed! Thanks for dropping by today! Please join us at Word Art Wednesday this week! :) Be Blessed!

Princess Cuppy Cake

Hi all! This is my second post for today! It is a new challenge at Incy Wincy! This week we want you to show us Birthdays and Balloons! We have two amazing sponsors this week! 2 Cute Ink and Lacy Sunshine! I just had to choose an image from both to work with! I am using Princess Cuppy Cake. She is such a doll! I colored her with my copics and added some shabby white frantage to the corners of the image, a couple of flowers and the butterfly. I used spellbinders floral oval to mat my image. I am getting a little better at using liquid pearls. The first time I used it, I really didn't like it. I couldn't get the pearls to look like pearls. They looked like blobs and smears. But this time, I used them all over the image and I think I found the groove. :) I added an I Am Roses white rose, and some Die-namics die cut rolled flowers. The lace, ribbon, and pink cloth flower were in my stash. :)

The inside:
I used a balloon image from Stamp Fairy and colored them with my copics. Then I added some ultra fine glitter to them so they would sparkle. The sentiment is from Digital Delights

Owl Sparklers

Good morning! I hope you all had a great weekend! Today is a new challenge at Incy Wincy! This week we want you to show us Birthdays and Balloons! We have two amazing sponsors this week! 2 Cute Ink and Lacy Sunshine! I just had to choose an image from both to work with! So here is my first card using Owl Sparklers. He is so adorable! I tried the clean and simple style again. A work in progress! :) I colored him with copics and added some ribbon. I added glossy accents to his glasses. Then I stamped and colored a balloon on the inside.

The inside:

I made up the sentiments myself, so if you don't understand my sense of humor, don't feel bad I don't either sometimes! ;) It's supposed to mean that the birthday girl/boy would have so many candles on their cake that it would be safer to use sparklers. Hehehe! Thanks for stopping by! Please join us at Incy Wincy in our Birthday and Balloons challenge! :)

Deuteronomy 7:9

Good morning crafty friends! Today is another beautiful sunny day here! I am so thankful, but I would love to see some rain! Not only for me because I love it, but for our farmers around here also. There is another beautiful scripture available at Word Art Wednesday today! Please stop by and save this free verse from Deuteronomy 7:9. I love how this scripture reminds us that God is faithful and merciful. Sometimes when we feel we are getting the back hand of life, we can be refreshed in knowing that God is God! He is faithful to provide all our needs. He shows us mercy by giving us the free gift of salvation through Jesus Christ! We can know that when we love Him and keep His commandments, we will be with Him someday in Heaven! :)
Around this verse I added some beautiful flowers from Fred She Said. I colored them with my copics and cut the shape out with my cricut using the Basic shapes cartridge. I decoupaged the single flower in the set by printing it on design paper and then cutting out the petals and popping them up with foam squares. The center of the flower is paper pieced. I added some rhinestones, brads, and pretty yellow ribbon to finish off my card.
Thanks for stopping by and please join us in sharing your encouraging and inspiring projects at Word Art Wednesday! :)

Matthew 19:26

Happy Monday! It's time for another challenge at Incy Wincy Designs! Our theme this week is
Read All About It. We would love to see you include a page from a book or smash journal or even use the word "book" on your cards or projects. This week we are sponsored by Bugaboo. I used the image 4 Square Believe. This was a fun image to use; you can keep the squares together or split them up like I did. This image also includes part of a scripture, which is from a book, The Bible. :) I colored the squares with my copics and added some Glossy Accents to the bubbles and some glitter glue to the butterfly wings. I sprayed the squares with Glitter mist. I distressed the brown background paper with Vintage Photo distress ink and then sprayed it with my new Dylusion Turquoise Spray. I also distressed the scripture verse at the bottom. I added some lace and pink rhinestones to finish it off. Thanks for dropping by! Please join us this week in our Read All About It challenge!

Donita and Christmas Tree

Hi crafty friends! It's Thursday again, so another new challenge at Delightful Challenges! This week we want to see Glitter, Bling, and Sparkly Things! I made a pop up card this week. I hadn't tried it before and it was super fun and easy! I used Donita and Tree and the colored fireplace from the Christmas Fireplace set. These Digital Delights image are so perfect for putting together a Christmas card! This is the first time I've used a pre-colored image and it was awesome! I just added a little glitter to the fire and a wreath to the front and I was finished! :) I colored Donita and the tree with my copics. I added some ultra-fine glitter to her snowman friend and glitter glue to the angel. You can see the sparkle a little better in the second picture. I hope you will stop by and join us this week! Can't wait to see your lovely projects!

Primrose Summertime

Good morning! I'm so excited today! There's a new challenge at Crafty Sentiments and I'm the hostess! It's my first time hosting so I'm totally thrilled! :) This week our theme is

Female Birthday

So think of a special friend, daughter, or mother that has a birthday coming soon and make a card or project especially for them! For my card today, I used Primrose-Summertime and Digi Birthday Circles from Crafty Sentiments Designs. She is so sweet beside her little cat. I thought this would make a perfect card for my daughter's birthday coming up since she is a total animal lover. I colored Primrose with copics. I used my sizzix doily die cut behind her. Added some Latte ribbon from 3 Girl Jam, a big greenish flower from my Christmas swap partner, and smaller flowers from I Am Roses. This was my first time making a bow with the 3 Girl Jam ribbon and I was clueless. So...if any of you are as clueless as I was, click here for a YT tutorial. It's only 1 minute and shows how to make a double bow with the bow maker. I don't own the bow maker, so I improvised. I used my daughter's fingers! Wha la! I actually made a triple bow for this card. :) It was easy after I figured it out. Hope you have a wonderful day! Thanks for stopping by!

Hi all! Well, it's Monday again! I hope your weekend was fabulous! :) We have another awesome challenge up for you at Incy Wincy Designs! We want to see Things with Wings! So show us your fairies, butterflies, dragons, and birds! We can't wait to see what you come up with! Our sponsor this week is Doodle Dragon Studios! I chose Fairie Bear with Birdhouse. This image was so cute and I knew by choosing this fairy bear with a bird, I was super safe not to mess this challenge up! My brain has been in the blender for a couple of weeks. :) I colored this image with my copics and used chalk for the sky. I used the sketch over at The Outlawz. I used flowers and rhinestones from Recollections. The butterfly is cut from my Sizzix die cut. I hope you will join us over at Incy Wincy for our Things with Wings challenge! :)

A sweet little Thank You

Good morning! I have one more Thank You card to show you today! I tried to stay clean and simple again with this card. I hope this is okay. I still need a lot of practice, I think. ;) I used an image from Whoopsi Daisy. She is so sweet! I used the uncolored image from this sheet here. I colored her with my copics and cut the circle with my cricut. The scallop edges were cut using the sizzix. The little flowers were a rolled flower die cut and the leaves I made using a leaf punch. The other flowers are Prima. Thanks for looking at my Thank You card today! I hope you enjoyed it. :)

Happy Friday! So glad it's almost the weekend! It's been a long week! Anyway, I have a Thank You card to show you. This little card was made as clean and simple as I can, right now. :) It really is a talent to make your card awesome with only a few elements. I don't know how they do it! I used the image Ellie from Tiddly Inks. Best of all, it's a free image! I colored Ellie with my copics. The circle was cut with my cricut. I used the out of the box technique. I ran ribbon through the bottom of the paper and added a stamped Thank You. I hope you enjoy my card today. Thanks for stopping by! :)

1 Timothy 4:12

Good morning all! This is my second week as Guest Designer at Word Art Wednesday! This week is a wonderful free scripture of 1 Timothy 4:12. This scripture reminds me of my husband. Paul encourages Timothy to be an example even though he is young, just as my husband was a young pastor. So for this weeks project I made my husband this mixed media canvas! I can't tell you how much I loved making this! I first primed the canvas with gesso. I then adhered all my texture items with Mod Podge. I used several different laces and some webbed ribbon. I had some scrap flute, so I added that and was super happy with how it looked! I added more texture using four different styles of alpha stickers, a sheet of cardstock that I embossed using clocks, cheese cloth, strips of paper, string, a key, gears, mini paper clips, a hinge, and a heart charm. After the Mod Podge had dried, I covered the enter canvas with gesso. Then after it dried, I inked the canvas with alcohol inks. I actually mixed my own ink colors to spray. So, if you don't have any sprays on hand, but you have the little alcohol ink bottles you can mix your own! I got a spray bottle and dripped about 6 drops of ink and 12 drops of the alcohol blending solution into it. This worked great! When I was finished with how it looked, I lightly added some gesso over the 3D elements to add dimension. To finish off, I stamped an I Love You stamp with metallic blue paint, added a Tim Holtz clock with hands, lantern, bottle cap with the word Inspire inside, alpha sliders with a piece of burlap running through it, and a bottle. The scripture plaque was made using......I bet you'll never guess! Shrinky dink paper! I printed the scripture on printable shrinky dink paper and punched four holes in the corners and in about 3 minutes....Wha La! A gorgeous plaque! I hope you enjoyed this altered canvas! Please stop by Word Art Wednesday and get your free scripture this week! :)

Jingle Bell Sled

Today is the second day of Crafty Sentiments Designs Christmas in July New Release! There are so many adorable images released! Check them all out at Crafty Sentiments Inspirations! Also we will be giving away a Christmas present to one lucky follower who leaves us a comment on the Inspirations blog! AND you could win a 2 month GDT spot each day on the 8th, 9th, and 10th! How awesome is that!
This image is called Jingle Bells! Below is a tutorial on how I made this Christmas sled. :)

Here is the original sled. I almost forgot to take a picture before I covered the entire thing with gesso.

This is my first attempt! FAIL! I painted it backwards! I had to sand it off and start over. :'(

Here is what it looked like as I was sanding it. I thought this made an interesting barn door look. But I had something different in mind.

So onto painting it over! :) I painted the entire sled with white acrylic paint this time.

I then added the crackle medium over the white paint. When it had fully dried, I painted over the medium with red and green acrylic paints. I painted the edges with brown acrylic paint.

As it dries it will begin to make nice crackle accents. When it fully dried, I added my embellishments. I tied a bow with some Christmas ribbon and added 3 tiny jingle bells to the center. I also added larger bells to the sides and tied with twine. I colored the image with my copic markers and added some berries to frame it! Here it is finished!

Happy Monday! I hope you had a fantastic weekend! Today I have three posts, so grab your coffee (or for me, it's Pepsi) and let's have some fun! :) There's a new challenge up at Incy Wincy Designs! Today we have a Sketch! We would love to see your projects using our sketch this week! We have two amazing sponsors this week! Whoo! Double prizes! (That's from Toy Story if you didn't know) Yes, I love cartoons. :) Anyway, our sponsors this week are MelJen's and Hobbycutz! I have used Firefly Fairy from MelJen's and Butterfly and Mini Fancy Fence die cuts from Hobbycutz. The flowers are from I Am Roses and Wild Orchid Crafts. I colored this cute fairy with my copic markers and added some ultra fine glitter to her wings. I also embossed the fence and added glitter to it. The sentiment I typed out in Word and distressed the edges with Brown ink. I hope you enjoy my Fairy Garden card and stop by Incy Wincy to join in on our fun!

As you can see on my card I have flipped the sketch.

Hi all! I have another amazing stamp to show you from Crafty Sentiments Designs! Hop on over to Crafty Sentiments Inspirations to see the New Releases! Suzette has made some fantastic Christmas stamps for you! We are celebrating Christmas in July! This sweet little image is called Lantern Fairy. I colored her with my copic markers and placed her inside this altered wooden picture frame!

I purchased this frame from Michaels. It was plain white when I bought it. I covered it with some Christmas paper and then covered it with Mod Podge. After it dried I found the two pieces of pine tree needles that I liked, added some berry accents, and finished by adding some ribbon that I tied into a bow.

Thanks for stopping by! :)
